Crash cushions
in accordance with EN1317-3
Crash cushions are designed in such a way that any possible crashes by vehicles at obstacles or hazard points can be alleviated. They reduce the risk of damage to persons enormously.
The sides of the crash cushions consist of crash barriers, and the inside of interconnected deformation compartments. These chambers have deformation elements, which absorb the energy from the impact. This energy is longitudinally controlled by a floor rail.
The crash cushion can be selected depending on topographical requirements, the signposted maximum speed and the necessary level of safety. All crash cushions can be combined with adjacent constructions with numerous vehicle restraint systems or used as free-standing elements. The assembly of a crash cushion takes place quickly using prefabricated foundation plates.
